If you thought 2017 would be a better year than the last, think again. The head of another pharmaceutical company has raised the price of HIV medicine by more than 400%, this time because he accidentally left his Black Sabbath T-shirt on top of the ingredients. After the shirt was mixed up in the machine with all the medicine, the CEO is now using this as an excuse to inflate the drug’s cost to consumers. A spokesperson for the company, SciCorp, said the shirt was official merchandise from Black Sabbath’s Never Say Die! Tour and that the new price is “a bargain for ingesting part of history”. We’ve seen some gloomy stories recently, but file this one under “a new low”.
